NEXIE Professional Training & Authorisation

Learn the Method.
Build Capability.
Use It Responsibly.

NEXIE professional learning develops the knowledge and practical capability needed to apply the NEXIE Method safely and appropriately.

Professional and commercial use depends not only on completing learning, but also on field capability, demonstrated competence, scope and applicable NEXIE use rights.

Training is the beginning of capability—not the end of responsibility.

Beyond awareness

Understanding NEXIE Is Different From
Applying It Professionally.

A person may understand the five-step process without being ready to facilitate it, interpret complex information, deliver professional learning, use protected resources, conduct structured Detection, support Integrated Action Planning or use NEXIE commercially.

01Awareness02Applied understanding03Demonstrated capability04Appropriate authorised use
Professional use should be based on capability, not simply course completion.

Professional Use Requires
More Than One Kind of Readiness.

01

NEXIE Knowledge

Understanding the philosophy, process, PEDICure, capacity in context, trauma-informed foundations, protective conditions, Six Rs and evaluation.

02

Applied Capability

Observing carefully, exploring context, facilitating reflection, selecting within-scope responses, supporting repair, planning, evaluating and referring.

03

Field Capability

Independent authority arising from qualifications, role, competence, experience, registration where required, supervision and governance.

NEXIE cannot create authority that belongs to another profession.
04

NEXIE Authorisation

Permission to use designated resources, training materials, tools, professional applications, licensed service models and commercial rights.

Capability and permission are related, but not the same thing.

Progressive capability

Build Capability
in Stages.

01
Level 1

NEXIE Foundation

Understand the Method

Foundational understanding of the NEXIE philosophy, process, capacity in context, trauma-informed principles, protective conditions, PEDICure and professional boundaries.

Foundation learning completed. No professional authorisation is implied.
02
Level 2

NEXIE Applied Practice

Learn to Use the Method Safely

Build capability in observation, contextual enquiry, Detection, changing capacity, communication, environment, compatible responses, relational repair, evaluation, documentation, referral and ethical practice.

Applied capability must be demonstrated, not assumed.
03
Level 3

Field Specialisation

Apply NEXIE Within a Defined Context

Combine shared foundations with field-specific application in Early Years, School-Based Education, Teams & Leaders, Organisations, Community & Practice or future approved fields.

The method stays consistent. The application changes with the field.
04
Level 4

Professional / Commercial Authorisation

Use Protected NEXIE Applications

For professional learning, protected resources, licensed services, commercial delivery, designated tools or training others, further capability, field, licensing and quality requirements may apply.

Authorisation is not automatic.

Completing Learning Does Not Automatically Grant
Every Use Right.

Learning alone does not authorise someone to teach or licence NEXIE, reproduce protected resources, use designated commercial programs, conduct restricted applications, train practitioners or use NEXIE branding commercially.

Training builds capability. Authorisation defines permitted use.

Scope

NEXIE Adds a Method.
It Does Not Replace Your Profession.

Educators remain accountable to education standards; counsellors to counselling scope; allied professionals to professional obligations; managers to organisational governance; and community workers to role and service boundaries.

Your field determines what you are professionally authorised to do. NEXIE determines how its method and protected resources may be used.

Required professional foundation

Use the Canonical Six Rs
Consistently.

Professional learning retains the exact sequence Recount → Resonate → Respect → Rethink → Reflect → Reframe. Empathy and perspective-taking sit within Respect, and the Matrix Pause is not a seventh stage.

This training page explains capability and authorisation. The full repair method is explained on How NEXIE Works.

Demonstrate practice

Professional Capability
Should Be Evidenced.

Evidence may include scenarios, observation, practical demonstration, reflective journals, case analysis, planning exercises, professional discussion, portfolios, facilitator feedback and workplace application where appropriate.

Assessment should consider understanding, judgement, boundaries, application, reflection, referral and ethical practice without becoming unnecessarily academic.

The question is not only “Do you know NEXIE?” It is “Can you apply it safely and appropriately?”

Different Uses May Require
Different Rights.

01

Personal Learning Use

Use learning for personal understanding.

02

Internal Professional Use

Apply approved learning in an employed role, subject to scope and organisational permission.

03

Practitioner Use

Use designated professional tools and processes where authorised.

04

Facilitator / Trainer Use

Deliver designated NEXIE learning to others.

05

Commercial / Licensed Use

Operate designated services, programs or products commercially.

Specific rights should always be confirmed in the applicable written agreement.

Intellectual property

Learn It Without Assuming
You Own It.

NEXIE may protect methodology, training architecture, course content, manuals, tools, templates, visual frameworks, professional resources, licensed service models and brand use.

  • Do not reproduce materials without permission
  • Do not resell training
  • Do not alter protected tools and present them as NEXIE
  • Do not claim authorisation not granted
  • Do not sublicense materials
  • Do not use branding outside approved rights
Access to learning does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property.

Authorised Use Requires
Ethical Use.

Respect autonomyUse informed consent where relevantProtect confidentiality and privacyRepresent qualifications accuratelyRemain scope-awarePractise non-discriminationAvoid unnecessary labelsSeparate observation from interpretationDocument appropriatelyRefer appropriatelyMake no unsupported claims
Understanding should increase dignity, participation and safer decision-making—not control.

Professional safety

Trauma-Informed Practice Does Not
Create Clinical Authority.

Learning may help recognise possible stress responses, reduce unnecessary escalation, strengthen safety, improve communication, support participation and identify when further help is needed.

It does not independently qualify someone to diagnose trauma, assess psychiatric disorders, provide psychotherapy, treat mental illness, investigate abuse or conduct specialist clinical assessment.

The role is to respond more safely within scope and refer when needs exceed that scope.

Safeguarding Always
Takes Priority.

Risk of harm, abuse, neglect, exploitation, serious safety concerns or mandatory reporting matters require action under applicable law, organisational policy, professional obligations and safeguarding procedures.

Relational repair never replaces required safeguarding or protective action.

Maintain capability

Authorisation Should Be Maintained,
Not Assumed Forever.

Future requirements may include continuing learning, updated training, reflective practice, supervision where appropriate, implementation review, ethical compliance, licence renewal, insurance and current field qualifications.

Professional quality depends on ongoing practice, reflection and accountability.

Professional Learning and Authorisation
May Eventually Connect Digitally.

Potential functions may include learning records, capability evidence, pathway progress, professional resources, authorisation status, continuing learning, updates and practitioner tools. The platform is not operational and no public practitioner register exists.

Digital support should make learning and rights clearer—not replace professional judgement or governance.
