Who do I work with?
Children, families, learners, teams, employees, community participants or organisations?
NEXIE Professional Pathways
NEXIE begins with one common method for understanding changing capacity and choosing safer, more useful responses.
Professional application then changes according to the role, setting, qualifications and responsibilities of the person using it.
The method remains consistent. The professional application changes with the field.
What everyone learns first
Before specialising, practitioners need a shared understanding of how NEXIE works.
Children, families, learners, teams, employees, community participants or organisations?
Educator, teacher, support worker, leader, manager, practitioner or founder?
Start with your current field capability and responsibilities.
Choose the setting where you already work or intend to build capability.
Use NEXIE within an existing role—or add enterprise capability if that is your goal.
Your pathway should follow your actual role, capability and purpose.
Early childhood education and care
For people working with young children, families and early learning environments.
Pedagogy, leadership, educational decision-making, family partnerships, team capability, inclusion, planning and reflective leadership.
Observation, relationships, co-regulation, communication, routines, participation, environment and day-to-day implementation.
Shared understanding. Role-specific capability. One connected team.Explore Early Years ↗
Schools and education support
For people working with children and young people in school settings. A shared method can strengthen collaboration while keeping role contributions and boundaries clear.
Explore School-Based Education ↗Workplace application
For team leaders, managers, supervisors, workplace facilitators and people leaders. Understanding does not remove accountability; it improves the quality of the response.
Explore Teams & Leaders ↗Systems and implementation
For organisations applying NEXIE beyond one practitioner or team. Implementation requires capability, systems and review—not individual training alone.
Explore NEXIE for Organisations ↗Professional and community application
This pathway may suit appropriately situated community workers, disability and family support professionals, developmental educators, allied professionals, facilitators and other practitioners. NEXIE training does not create authority beyond qualification, competence and role.
Become a NEXIE Practitioner ↗Neuropreneur direction
This page helps you choose a field of application. The Neuropreneur pathway explains how NEXIE may be applied through employment, professional practice, services or enterprise. If you intend to build an independent enterprise, the Business Blueprint contains the complete nine-stage planning method, outputs and access options.
Enterprise capability is optional. Learning access does not replace NEXIE capability, field capability or applicable use rights.
Progressive capability
Understand NEXIE.
Learn to use NEXIE safely.
Apply NEXIE in a defined setting.
Obtain applicable rights for protected use.
Not every learner needs every level.Explore Professional Training & Authorisation ↗
An early childhood educator needs education-sector capability. A teacher works within teaching scope. A manager works within organisational authority. A community practitioner works within their role. A Neuropreneur needs the field and enterprise capability relevant to the service offered.
NEXIE adds a method. Your field determines what you are professionally authorised to do.
Shared principle
All pathways should understand safety, trust, respect, choice, collaboration, participation, stress responses, avoiding escalation, professional boundaries and referral.
We can work in trauma-informed ways without turning every professional role into a clinical role.
Shared repair process
Every field uses the same Six Rs: Recount → Resonate → Respect → Rethink → Reflect → Reframe. Empathy and perspective-taking sit within Respect; the Matrix Pause is not a seventh stage.
Application changes with age, setting, professional authority and safety requirements.
Understand the Six Rs ↗An educator may become an educational leader. A teacher may move into organisational implementation. A manager may complete practitioner training. A practitioner may later become a Neuropreneur. A Neuropreneur may specialise in Early Years or workplace application.
NEXIE supports progression without pretending that one course qualifies someone for every context.

My NEXIE · In development
My NEXIE may later show learning completed, pathway progress, capability evidence, approved resources, field specialisations, authorisation status and continuing learning. It is not currently operational.
Digital continuity should make a pathway easier to follow without replacing professional judgement.
One Method. Multiple Pathways.
Every capacity deserves opportunity. Every purpose deserves a pathway.
